Community Guidelines
TalentFesto is a place to show what you can do and to cheer on other people. These guidelines say what is not allowed, what you can do when you see something wrong, and what we do about it. They apply to everything on TalentFesto: videos, captions, comments, profiles, usernames and Hunt entries.
See something wrong? In the app, tap the menu on a post, a comment or a profile and choose Report. If a child is in danger, read Child Safety. If someone is in immediate danger, call 112.
What is not allowed
- Child sexual abuse and exploitation
- Zero tolerance. No sexual content involving a child, no sexualising of minors, no grooming, no sharing or asking for such material. We remove it, ban the account and report it to the authorities.
- Danger to minors
- Anything that puts a child at risk: contacting a child for sexual or harmful purposes, sharing a child's private details, or encouraging dangerous acts by children.
- Suicide and self-harm
- Do not promote, encourage or show methods of suicide or self-harm. If you are struggling, Tele-MANAS offers free support 24 hours a day on 14416.
- Nudity and sexual content
- No nudity or sexually explicit content.
- Violence
- No graphic violence, no threats, and no content that celebrates or encourages hurting people or animals.
- Harassment and bullying
- Do not target, shame, threaten or repeatedly contact people. Do not share someone's private information.
- Hate
- No attacks on people because of their religion, caste, race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, disability or where they come from.
- Spam and manipulation
- No spam, scams or fake engagement. Do not buy, sell or fake likes, followers, views or Hunt votes.
- Impersonation
- Do not pretend to be another person, a brand or the TalentFesto Team.
- Intellectual property
- Post only what you made or have the right to use. Copyright owners can send us a complaint (see Terms).
- Other unlawful or harmful content
- Nothing that breaks Indian law, threatens public order, spreads false information meant to deceive, or carries malicious software. These rules follow the Information Technology (Intermediary Guidelines and Digital Media Ethics Code) Rules, 2021.
Fair play in Hunts
Enter with your own work. Votes are free and cannot be bought, sold or faked. Entries that break the Hunt's rules or these guidelines can be removed or disqualified.
Tools you control
- Report a post, a comment or a profile. Pick the reason that fits best.
- Block someone so that you and they no longer see each other, or restrict an account to limit how it can interact with you.
- Choose who watches each post: everyone, followers only, or only you. Turn off comments on a post.
- Make your account private in Settings, Privacy.
- Delete your own posts and comments at any time.
What happens when you report
- Your report goes to our review queue. You can report without an account.
- A person reviews it. We aim to review every report within 24 hours, and reports about child safety or self-harm go to the front of the queue.
- If a rule was broken we act. Depending on how serious it is, we remove the content, limit how widely it is shown, warn the person, or restrict, suspend or ban the account. Repeat breaches count more.
- If you reported while signed in, you can see the outcome in the app, under Safety.
If we got it wrong
If we remove your content or act on your account, you can appeal within 30 days, in the app or by writing to us. A person looks at every appeal.
